Lenovo working on new handheld gaming console Legion Go, AR glasses

Lenovo is currently working on its own handheld gaming console called Legion Go and rumours are now growing about the development of augmented reality (AR) glasses, too. The news was shared by WindowsReport whose sources told them that the AR glasses are slated to launch along with their handheld gaming device.
The game console will presumably use an AMD APU or its variation similar to what ASUS ROG Ally and Steam Deck use as it is currently the best option available. It is safe to presume that the device will be able to run various single player titles without any issues.
The news of AR glasses came as a surprise as not many have taken the route of AR offerings with any form of console. The company, however, has previously delved into standalone AR devices like the ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses.

The A3 Smart Glasses were quite compact with quick connectivity options that enabled people to create private virtual space. Apple also recently revealed its Vision Pro glasses that work along the same lines and have several other features.
However, these equipment do not come cheap as the A3 Smart Glasses are currently priced at $1,499 while the Vision Pro goes above and beyond it with a price tag of $3,499. There is a good chance that both the game consoles and the AR glasses will be available to purchase separately.
Another thing to note is that the AR and VR market is not really big in India. Even the regular PC gaming market, which is smaller than mobile gaming, is much bigger that AR/VR gaming.
The handheld gaming console aims to compete with ASUS ROG Ally and the Steam Deck, but there is currently no news on the price, specifications and availability. The addition of the AR glasses also raises some questions about their availability in India as tech is not cheap unless Lenovo already has a solution chalked out.
Gaming laptops, however, are quite popular in India. In the meantime, you may check out the new Lenovo Legion Slim series gaming laptops overview here.
