Big Daddy Casino owner and Haryana MLA Gopal Kanda continues to face heat from the Enforcement Directorate with the investigation agency now seizing 10 high-end cars belonging to him.

The ED, as of now, has not revealed any reasons for why these cars have been seized. There is currently no information on what car models have been seized or under which case(s) the action has been taken, reported News 18.

Kanda was recently questioned by the ED after a raid at his premises for alleged money laundering in connection with the now-defunct MDLR Airlines. Around a year after joining the casino industry, Kanda was accused of harassment by an air hostess named Geetika Sharma, who later committed suicide alleging harassment at work in her suicide note.

He was charged under sections 306, 506, 201, 120B, and 466 but was recently given a clean chit by the Delhi Court. Incidentally, Kanda is currently supporting the BJP-led Khattar government in Haryana.

There are other controversies surrounding Kanda as well. Earlier this year in May, the MLA’s casino was accused of having links with Chikoti Praveen, a bookmaker who organizes casino activities and is also under the ED’s radar.

It was alleged that Praveen used to operate an entire floor at the Big Daddy Casino. The casino, however, denied having any links with Praveen. “We would like to clarify that Mr Chikoti Praveen Kumar is not associated with Big Daddy Casino in any capacity,” an official said.

Other cases include licensing issues for his previously owned casino, Casino Rio. Another prominent case occurred back in 2022 when cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar accused Kanda’s Big Daddy Casino for using a morphed image of him without permission to promote itself.
