Mahadev Book: Full list of 34 celebrities under ED radar

The names of all the celebrities who are currently under the radar of Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Mahadev Book illegal betting app case have now surfaced. The list contains multiple A-category celebrities along with popular singers, TV actors and other artists.

Here’s the list of all the 34 celebrities that the ED plans on summoning under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with either attending and performing at Saurabh Chandrakar’s wedding in Dubai or promotion of Mahadev Book’s bouquet of illegal betting apps –

Chandrakar operates Mahadev Book from Dubai along with his partner Ravi Uppal. Both of them started out as local bookies in India. Prior to that, Chandrakar reportedly ran a juice outlet while Uppal owned a tyre shop.

The ED recently busted multiple hawala channels which were used to move the proceeds of crime generated from the illegal betting network. During the bust, the police seized assets worth Rs 417 crore along with discovering payments amounting to Rs 112 crore to an event management firm.

Further investigation in the matter revealed that the firm was in charge of booking celebrities and making other arrangements for the wedding. ED also raided M/s Rapid Travels in Bhopal, owned by Dheeraj Ahuja and Vishal Ahuja, that made travel arrangements for all the guests travelling from India to Dubai for the wedding.

The involvement of these celebrities came to light after a wedding video surfaced showing several of them performing at the wedding. As of now, the ED has summoned a few celebrities with more to be summoned very soon. The officials believe this will help in uncovering the money trail used by the Mahadev Book operatives.
