SuperGaming’s forthcoming Indo-Futuristic battle royale game, Indus, has garnered over 10 million pre-registrations through Google Play for Android devices. This comes on the heels of the company’s closed beta program, which was made available to Android users in February.
Roby John, CEO and co-founder of SuperGaming, expressed surprise at the overwhelming response, stating, “When we first started building Indus, we didn’t anticipate reaching 10 million pre-registrations prior to launch. The support from the gaming community has been instrumental in propelling us forward. We are grateful for their contribution to India’s gaming revolution.”
To acknowledge this achievement, SuperGaming plans to expand its beta program by distributing 200,000 beta keys. Additionally, new rewards, including skins and charms, will be introduced.
SuperGaming is known for its diverse portfolio of games such as MaskGun, Battle Stars, and the upcoming Indus. These titles are developed on the SuperPlatform, an in-house platform utilized not only by SuperGaming but also by other game publishers like Bandai Namco for the mobile version of PAC-MAN.
Roby John reassured eager players, stating, “While we can’t accommodate all 10 million pre-registrants just yet, we are working to provide more beta keys to meet the demand. Stay tuned to our social channels and Discord for further updates.”
The Indus Battle Royale Beta offers players the opportunity to immerse themselves in the action on their Android devices. Tested and refined through community playtests and esports tournaments, the beta includes new features designed to enhance the battle royale experience. Powered by the Indus Engine, SuperGaming’s proprietary technology stack, Indus delivers smooth gameplay, achieving over 40fps on 2022 low-end Android devices with 4GB RAM. Flagship Android devices from 2023 can achieve 60fps with maximum visual settings, making Indus accessible to a wide audience worldwide.
SuperGaming continues to optimize Indus to support more low-end devices, ensuring compatibility with smartphones purchased from 2020 onwards. However, visual fidelity may vary based on hardware specifications and user-customized graphics settings.
SuperGaming is an Indian game development studio founded in Pune, India. The company, notably backed by industry giants Bandai Namco, has produced games such as Battle Stars and Maskgun.
