NVIDIA, in collaboration with GIGABYTE, has concluded the inaugural NVIDIA Reflex iCafe Attack esports tournament in India. The tournament showcases the capability of top-tier hardware in competitive gaming. The event, which spanned across 20 gaming cafes in key cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Shillong, and Bangalore, saw participation from esports teams competing for a share of the INR 2,00,000 prize pool.

Sunil Grewal, Director of GIGABYTE India, expressed his excitement about the successful partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to wrap up the first-ever NVIDIA Reflex iCafe Attack, bringing Counter-Strike 2 esports action to cafes in every nook and corner of the country.” Grewal highlighted the importance of grassroots-level tournaments in connecting directly with the Indian PC gaming community.

The NVIDIA Reflex iCafe Attack 2024 witnessed significant participation, with over 70 teams registering for the open-for-all tournament. Following local cafe qualifiers, the top 32 teams advanced to the National Playoffs held every weekend throughout April 2024.

The tournament emphasized the importance of advanced hardware such as the GIGABYTE GEFORCE RTX 4070 SUPER GAMING PC 12GB GDDR6 in competitive gaming. Featuring ray tracing and AI-enhanced graphics, this GPU ensures smooth performance and low-latency responsiveness crucial for esports titles like Counter-Strike 2.

In the grand finale, Mumbai’s Global Gaming Cafe emerged as the winner, securing a 3-0 victory against Bangalore’s Colosseum Cafe. As champions, Global Gaming Cafe won INR 1,00,000. Colosseum Cafe from Bangalore got second place and won INR 60,000, while Immortal Cafe from Delhi came in third and won INR 40,000.

The success of the NVIDIA Reflex iCafe Attack highlighted the increasing popularity of esports in India and the significant role of hardware innovation in shaping the competitive gaming landscape.
