Lenovo has introduced its first-ever handheld gaming console, the Legion Go, in India. The new device aims to rival established players like the ASUS ROG Ally series and the MSI Claw.
As reported by Business Standard, the Lenovo Legion Go operates on the Windows 11 platform and is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, coupled with an integrated AMD RDNA graphics processing unit (GPU). The console boasts impressive hardware, including up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.
The standout feature of the Legion Go is its detachable Legion True Strike controllers, designed to offer flexibility in playstyle. The right controller can be detached and secured into a magnetic base, enhancing user comfort. The controllers are equipped with an optical eye at the bottom to improve aiming and control, and feature hall effect joysticks to eliminate drift and improve responsiveness.
For additional input options, the controllers include an integrated trackpad, a D-pad, an angled mouse wheel, and 10 mappable buttons for customization of in-game actions. The device also includes RGB lighting on the power button and around the joysticks, which can be customized according to user preferences. The power button’s lighting changes based on the operation fan mode.
The Legion Go features an 8.8-inch QHD touchscreen display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, offering a 97 percent DCI-P3 color space and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth and vivid visuals during gameplay. The device is powered by a 49.2Wh battery, promising substantial playtime, and includes a microSD slot for expandable storage up to 2TB.
Priced starting at Rs 89,990, the Lenovo Legion Go will be available for purchase from July 1 on Lenovo’s official website, e-commerce platform Flipkart, and Lenovo exclusive stores. Lenovo is also offering a screen protector at no additional cost and providing one-year accidental damage protection for the device.
