MSI has officially launched its inaugural Windows 11-based handheld gaming console, the Claw, in India. Marketed as the first of its kind to be powered by the new Intel Core Ultra processors, the Claw comes with updated BIOS and GPU drivers over its global variant.
The MSI Claw is available in three variants, with prices starting at Rs 78,990 for the Ultra 5 model equipped with a 512GB SSD. The Ultra 7 model, also with a 512GB SSD, is priced at Rs 86,990, while the top-tier Ultra 7 model with a 1TB SSD is available for Rs 89,990. Gamers can purchase the Claw across all leading e-commerce platforms, including Amazon and Flipkart.
MSI has announced an introductory offer, reducing the prices significantly. The base variant, originally priced at Rs 78,990, is now available for Rs 68,990. Similarly, the Ultra 7 model with a 512GB SSD sees a price drop from Rs 86,990 to Rs 76,990, and the 1TB variant is now priced at Rs 79,990, down from Rs 89,990. These discounts, offering Rs 10,000 off on each variant, are exclusively available through MSI brand stores.
Standing out in a competitive market against devices like the ASUS ROG Ally, the MSI Claw is distinguished by its Intel Core Ultra processor, which MSI claims delivers a performance boost of up to 150 percent, thanks to its advanced BIOS and GPU drivers. The console features a 7-inch FHD 120Hz touch display with a 100 percent sRGB color gamut, ensuring vibrant and sharp visuals.
The Claw’s design includes Hall Effect Sensors in both analog sticks and LT/RT triggers, providing precise control and enhancing the device’s durability by avoiding physical contact for activation. Thermal management is handled by Cooler Boost HyperFlow technology, while the 53WHr battery and 65W fast charging capability ensure extended gaming sessions with minimal interruptions.
Additional features include the MSI Center M software, which offers extensive customization options for gamers, and RGB light rings surrounding the analog sticks and ABXY buttons, adding a stylish touch to the device.
MSI’s entry into the handheld gaming market with the Claw represents a significant development, offering Indian gamers a powerful, portable, and customizable gaming experience.
