The Texas Super Kings have been dealt a huge blow at the beginning of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 season, with their promising young pace bowler Gerald Coetzee ruled out for the remainder of the tournament.  

As per the official announcement from the Texas Super Kings, Gerald Coetzee suffered a minor left side strain during their match against Los Angeles Knight Riders on July 5th. 

In that match, he grabbed one wicket and gave away 28 runs in his four over spell. Meanwhile, the Texas Super Kings lost their opening match against the Los Angeles Knight Riders while their second match against Washington Freedom was abandoned. 

The Texas Super Kings will face San Francisco Unicorns in their next game, scheduled to be played on July 11. The Unicorns have already registered a win in their opening game and are sitting at the second position in the points standings.
