Pakistan is set to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in February, although it is unlikely that team India will travel to Pakistan for the tournament.

It has been reported that the BCCI will petition the ICC to hold their matches at neutral venues, like Sri Lanka or Dubai, due to government restrictions.

Meanwhile, several Pakistani media journalists have reported that if team India does not travel to Pakistan, the ICC may exclude India and replace them with Sri Lanka in the tournament.

As per the tentative schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy, Pakistan will host New Zealand in the tournament’s opening match, while the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash is set for March 1 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Notably, Team India has not travelled to Pakistan since 2008 due to political tensions between the nations. In contrast, Pakistan recently visited India last year during the ODI World Cup 2023.
