Washington Freedom (WSF) captain Steve Smith executed a brilliant catch in the Major League Cricket (MLC) match against the Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) at Church Street Park in Morrisville.

It all happened in the 11th over bowled by Glenn Maxwell when Nitish Kumar attempted to play a shot through mid-wicket. The ball, however, caught the inside edge of the bat and went into the air, with Smith taking an outstanding catch.

It was a two-handed catch attempt at short mid-wicket, with Smith diving and timing it perfectly as the ball stuck firmly in his hands. This catch swung the momentum in favour of Washington Freedom.
