Former England captain Eoin Morgan is being considered as the successor to Matthew Mott for the role of England’s white-ball head coach.

There have been reports that Mott will step down, leading England to consider other candidates. However, Eoin Morgan has clarified that he is not going to take any coaching role for the England cricket team.

“This news is actually news to me, It’s obviously not nice when a coach comes under fire and there is a lot of speculation about his future, but only time will tell what will happen,” Eoin Morgan told SkySports.

Morgan further stated that while he is eager to take up the role of England’s white-ball coach, the timing is not right at the moment, and he will consider it when he feels ready.

“I’ve been asked a lot [in the media] over the past couple of months about the role, and if I would take it on, my answer has simply been that the timing for everything in my life at the moment is not right.”

“Yes, I want to coach down the line. But I have a young family, and I spend a lot more time at home and watching cricket doing this [commentary]. I’m absolutely loving what I’m doing,” said Morgan.
