Ahead of the T20I series against Sri Lanka, India’s newly appointed T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and batter Rinku Singh shared a lighthearted exchange on their Instagram stories. 

On his Instagram story, Suryakumar posted a picture of himself talking with Rinku and humorously suggested that Rinku had asked him for his bat, just as players like Virat Kohli had done before.

Here’s what Suryakumar Yadav wrote:

“Theek hai bat le lena.” 

Rinku Singh reposted the story and replied to it, saying:

“De do bhaiya bat.” 

India are the reigning World Champions in T20 cricket and they must be looking to keep up the winning streak.

With big names like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja stepping back from T20 Internationals, it’s a great chance for others to step up. 

The first T20I between India and Sri Lanka will be played on July 27 at Pallekele Stadium.
