Sri Lankan fast bowler Nuwan Thushara has been sidelined for the T20I series against India because of a finger injury. 

This is another blow for Sri Lanka, who had already lost Dushmantha Chameera to injury the day before. 

After injuring a finger on his left hand in training, Nuwan will need considerable time to heal and will therefore be unavailable for the India series. 

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has not yet named a replacement, but left-arm seamer Dilshan Madushanka is currently considered the leading candidate. 

The opening T20I between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled for July 27 at Pallekele Stadium, with the second match on July 28 and the third on July 30.
