The Indian fast bowling legend Jasprit Bumrah has named greatest Indian captain, and it is none of the three captains under whom he has played: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, or MS Dhoni.
Surprisingly, Jasprit Bumrah picked himself as greatest Indian captain during a recent interview with The Indian Express. Bumrah revealed that he has led India on several occasions and hence considers himself his own favorite captain.
“See, my favorite captain is me because I have captained a few games. Obviously, there are great captains, but I will take my name… I am my favorite captain,” he told The Indian Express.
Notably, Bumrah has served as India’s captain in one Test and two T20Is so far. He made his captaincy debut for India against England on July 1, 2022, during a rescheduled Test in Birmingham.
Later, he also led India in two T20Is against Ireland in Dublin last year. Currently, Bumrah is the vice-captain of India’s Test side.
