A blistering century from Finn Allen powered the San Francisco Unicorns to a thrilling 10-run victory over the Texas Super Kings, securing their place in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 final alongside the Washington Freedom.

Batting first, the Unicorns amassed a mammoth total of 200 runs, largely thanks to Allen’s breathtaking knock of 101 runs from just 53 balls.

The Texas Super Kings bowlers struggled to contain the Unicorns’ onslaught, with Noor Ahmed the only standout performer, claiming three wickets while maintaining an economical spell.

In reply, the Super Kings made a valiant effort, with Devon Conway (62) and Joshua Tromp (56) anchoring the chase with unbeaten half-centuries. However, their efforts fell just short as they finished on 190 runs.

The Unicorns’ bowling attack, while not as spectacular as their batting, was effective in defending their total. The victory sets up a mouthwatering final against the Washington Freedom, with both teams eager to lift the trophy.
