This also means that Morne Morkel’s tenure with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) comes to an end, which lasted for three years ever since the LSG team made its debut in the IPL 2022.
It is worth noting that Morne Morkel worked closely with Gautam Gambhir when he was the mentor of LSG during the IPL 2022 and 2023 seasons.
It has been speculated that, impressed with his skills, Gautam Gambhir requested the BCCI to bring Morne Morkel on board with him.
