Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against India, set to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on August 2, 4, and 7. 

Charith Asalanka, who recently took over the T20I captaincy from Wanindu Hasaranga, will now lead the Sri Lankan side across both white-ball formats. The squad selection also witnessed several changes from the T20I side.

Notable inclusions are Sadeera Samarawickrama, Chamika Karunaratne, Janith Liyanage, Nishan Madushka, and Akila Dananjaya, while Ramesh Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Perera, and Chamindu Wickramasinghe have been omitted.

The ODI series against India promises to be a fiercely contested battle between two cricketing giants. With Asalanka at the helm, Sri Lanka will be eager to put up a strong performance and challenge the Indian team.
