The Indian captain Rohit Sharma has deleted his recent social media post in which he was spotted practising in the nets ahead of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
This comes after Rohit Sharma was trolled mercilessly for editing his picture to alter his tummy. Notably, the same picture was uploaded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and on Rohit Sharma’s handle.
In both pictures, there was a significant difference near his stomach area. In fact, the picture uploaded from Rohit Sharma’s handle looked noticeably edited, and fans were quick to point this out.
However, after a massive trolling and backlash, Rohit Sharma deleted the pictures from his Twitter and Instagram handles.
Rohit Sharma Gears Up for ODI Series
Notably, Rohit Sharma will be in action for the first time since winning the T20 World Cup 2024 last month. The legendary duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has already announced their retirement from T20Is.
Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are now focused on playing ODI and Test cricket. The next big assignment for the duo will be the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to be played next year in February.
