Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli recently caught the attention of social media after a video of him in a distressed state went viral. The footage left the cricketing community deeply concerned about Kambli’s well-being.

In the video, Kambli is seen leaning on a motorcycle for support, struggling to stand upright, and eventually needing help from bystanders to enter a building.

However, after the video went viral on social media, some of the friends of Vinod Kambli reached out to him to check his well-being. The former Indian cricketer reassured them that the viral video was old and not to believe what was circulating on social media.

“He was in a jolly mood when we met him. He is recovering well and is in much better condition. The video being circulated is outdated. He doesn’t have belly fat and eats his food well. The entire family was present and enjoying each other’s company. His son, Cristiano, also a left-hand batter like his father, was taking batting tips from his father,” Marcus, a close friend of Vinod Kambli was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.

Here it is worth mentioning that Kambli has faced several health issues over the years, including a heart attack in 2013.
