The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is always ready to assist other cricket boards, especially those that lack recognition or financial support.

In one such initiative, the BCCI has allowed the Nepal cricket team to travel to India and train at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for two weeks. During this period, they will benefit from top-class facilities and training to enhance their skills.

Additionally, the NCA in India boasts some of the finest trainers and coaches who will help the team improve and address their queries. This initiative, led by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, is a commendable effort.

Despite being around for years, the Nepal cricket team has struggled with recognition, largely due to inconsistent performance. However, the popularity of cricket in Nepal is immense.

The enthusiasm of Nepal cricket fans is evident every time Nepal hosts an international team, with stadiums often filled to capacity.

Earlier, the Nepal cricket team participated in the T20 World Cup 2024 but did not perform well. The upcoming two weeks of training in India will be highly beneficial for them.
