Bangladesh has arrived in Pakistan for a two-match Test series. The first Test will start in Rawalpindi on August 21. However, the second Test, initially planned for Karachi on August 30, will now be held in Rawalpindi due to ongoing renovations at Karachi Stadium.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had previously announced that Karachi Stadium is undergoing construction because it will be one of the venues for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Earlier, the PCB had cancelled ticket bookings and promised to issue refunds. Regarding the second Test, the board decided to reschedule it after construction workers reported noise pollution from ongoing renovations.

“Additionally, the dust from the construction work could also affect the health and well-being of the players, officials, broadcasters, and media,” the PCB said in a statement.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is set to begin on February 19, with Karachi Stadium being one of their major venues. Before the event, the stadium will host one of three Test matches against England in October.
