West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph has put his name forward for the Big Bash League (BBL) Draft. Following his stellar performance at Gabba last year, Joseph is eager to join a franchise in Australia.
Joseph, who recently picked his third five-wicket haul in his short Test career, is known for his contribution to West Indies’ historic win at the Gabba last year, where he took 7/68 in the fourth innings.
Additionally, he has played for multiple franchises in rival T20 leagues, including the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024 and the Dubai Capitals in the ILT20. However, he didn’t get many opportunities while playing for LSG.
Big Players Registered for BBL Draft
Almost 600 international players have put their names forward for this season’s Big Bash Drafts, with notable nominees including England opener Alex Hales and Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
On the other hand, Afghanistan’s other players like Rashid Khan and Naveen-ul-Haq are still protesting against Australia and have opted out of putting their names in the upcoming BBL draft.
