However, the Men in Green are making waves off the field once more, as a viral video shows Shaheen Shah Afridi moving Shan Masood’s hand off his shoulder during a team huddle.
Pakistan cricket hasn’t been the same since their early exit from the T-20 World Cup 2024. Head coach Gary Kirsten had even admitted that the team is split into groups due to internal rifts.

What went wrong with Shaheen Afridi?
Shaheen Shah Afridi hasn’t been on good terms with either the board or the players since he was dropped as Pakistan’s captain after just one series in New Zealand, which they lost.
After Pakistan’s disappointing early exit from the ODI World Cup 2023 in India, Babar Azam stepped away from the captaincy in all formats.
Shaheen Afridi was then made the white-ball captain and Shan Masood took over the red-ball captaincy for Pakistan. However, while Masood still leads the Test team, Shaheen was sacked, and Babar was brought back as captain.
Things reportedly got worse after the T20 World Cup 2024, especially with Babar struggling as a captain. This is now evident in the Test team, with Pakistan suffering a humiliating 10-wicket defeat against Bangladesh at home soil.
