Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam, who were dropped from the Pakistan Test squad for the series against Bangladesh, have been recalled for the second Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, taking place from August 30 to September 3. 

Both players were involved in a four-day game for Pakistan Shaheens against Bangladesh ‘A’ at Islamabad Club, which was held from August 20 to 23. Kamran Ghulam, infact led the team.

Abrar, celebrated for his excellent control and knack for turning the ball on subcontinent surfaces, is set to enhance Pakistan’s spin department. Kamran, known for his middle-order batting, provides additional stability and depth to the lineup. 

Shaheen Afridi, Aamir Jamal Returns 

On the other hand, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan’s leading fast bowler, has returned to the squad after being dropped following the first Test. 

Along with these additions, Aamir Jamal has been brought back into the squad, but his participation in the second Test will be contingent on fitness clearance.  

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test of the two-match series, marking their first-ever Test victory over Pakistan. They will aim to replicate this success in the second Test to secure the series win.
