In the latest turn of events, the Lucknow Super Giants have officially announced Zaheer Khan as the mentor of the team ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
Zaheer Khan, who was with Mumbai Indians until last season, will now work alongside the Lucknow Super Giants as their mentor, replacing Gautam Gambhir.

The announcement was made on Wednesday during a press conference held by the owner of Lucknow Super Giants, Sanjeev Goenka, where Zaheer Khan was also present.

Zaheer Khan’s first assignment will be the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction. The Super Giants, who managed to make it to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons previously, missed qualifying for the playoffs in the recent IPL 2024 season.
With his extensive experience in coaching and mentoring, Zaheer Khan will be looking to build a strong team from scratch in the mega auction.
