Pakistan has dropped Shaheen Afridi from the second Test against Bangladesh, scheduled for August 31 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The move comes after Shaheen Afridi’s underwhelming showing in the first Test, where he managed only a couple of wickets and was expensive.

Moreover, after the match, a video surfaced on social media showing Shaheen Afridi misbehaving with captain Shah Masood during a team huddle.

There have been multiple reports suggesting that Shaheen Shah Afridi has not been getting along well with his teammates or the coaches, and while his poor performance might be one reason for his exclusion, his behaviour could be another.

Abrar Ahmed Replaces Shaheen Afridi

In addition to this, Abrar Ahmed has been recalled to the playing XI after being left out of the first Test.

Pakistan did not field a single spinner in the first match after observing the green wicket at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, but as the match went on, the pitch began to assist spinners.

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets, marking their first-ever Test victory against them, and now they aim to replicate that success in the second Test and clinch the series.
