Since last night, rain in Rawalpindi had led to puddles forming on the outfield, despite the use of covers. With the rain becoming heavier, both teams and match officials stayed in their hotel, causing the day’s play to be abandoned.

To level the series against Bangladesh, Pakistan must win the second Test. Weather forecasts indicate clear skies at Rawalpindi for Saturday and Sunday, but scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected for the final two days of the match.
