T20 cricket is evolving, and it’s clear that the game is shifting. It’s no longer about slow, slogging play; instead, it’s about aggressive hitting from the start. This change was recently highlighted by Delhi batters Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni in the ongoing Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024. 

Representing the South Delhi Superstarz, Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni shattered T20 records by forging the highest-ever T20 partnership in cricket history. They put together a remarkable 286-run stand for the second wicket off just 100 balls.

Thanks to the explosive hitting from the duo, the South Delhi Superstars scored 308 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs against North Delhi Strikers. This total is the second-highest ever in T20 cricket history. 

Priyansh Arya scored 120 runs off 50 balls, including 10 boundaries and 10 sixes, while Captain Ayush Badoni blasted 165 runs from 55 balls, with 8 boundaries and 19 sixes. The North Delhi Strikers bowlers seemed completely clueless after seeing the power hitting by the duo. 

Both players are now the top run-scorers in the tournament, with Priyansh Arya leading the chart with 576 runs from eight matches, and Ayush Badoni in second place with 515 runs from the same number of matches.
