Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz of the Bangladesh Cricket Team made Test cricket history by becoming the first duo to score 150 runs for the seventh or lower wicket while their team total was under 50 runs.
Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz reached this milestone during the ongoing second Test against Pakistan. The final match of the series is being held at Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium.
The duo delivered a tremendous performance, rescuing the team with their batting. After Pakistan scored 274 runs in the first innings, Bangladesh struggled at the start, finding themselves in trouble at 26/6.
Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz then forged a 165-run partnership for the 7th wicket, pushing Bangladesh past the 200-run mark. Their stand ended when Khurram Shahzad, who was exceptional in the match, dismissed Mehidy.
Mehidy Hasan scored 78 runs from 124 balls, hitting 12 fours and 1 six. Litton Das contributed a solid 138 runs before being dismissed. Bangladesh was eventually all out for 262 in reply to Pakistan’s first innings total of 274.
