Former Indian cricketer and legend Rahul Dravid has been appointed as the head coach of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 after completing his coaching tenure with Team India, which concluded with the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Rahul Dravid, who had a relatively successful stint with Team India, concluded his tenure on a high note by guiding the Indian cricket team to a World Cup victory in Barbados. 

Rahul Dravid’s History With Rajasthan Royals

Rahul Dravid has a strong connection with Rajasthan Royals, where he served as captain in IPL 2012 and 2013, and later took on the roles of team director and mentor in the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

In 2016, he joined Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) until 2019 when he became head of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. In 2021, he was named head coach of the India men’s team, ending his three-year term with their first ICC trophy in 11 years. 

Rajasthan Royals to Acquire Services of Vikram Rathour

In addition, there are reports suggesting that Rajasthan Royals are making strong efforts to secure the services of Vikram Rathour, who worked alongside Rahul Dravid as an assistant coach during his tenure with the Indian cricket team.
