The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will feature a mega auction, bringing major changes to the squads of all 10 franchises. Fans can expect some well-known players switching sides as franchises look to restructure their lineups.
According to the IPL’s announcement, each franchise can retain up to six players from their current squad. The rules for uncapped players come with a new twist as an old regulation returns after three years, which allows a team to consider retaining a player, who retired around five years ago as an uncapped player.
