Mumbai Indians Women have confirmed their list of retained and released players for the 2025 Women’s Premier League (WPL). After winning the inaugural edition of WPL, Mumbai Indians could not defend their title last year, as they lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the eliminator. Despite this, the team has decided to retain most of the players who played a key role in their previous seasons.

The defending champions have shown confidence in their existing squad, with key players like Harmanpreet Kaur, Pooja Vastrakar, and Yastika Bhatia all retained. The team’s international stars, such as Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, and Amelia Kerr, will also remain with Mumbai Indians for the 2025 season.

These players form the backbone of the team, offering a mix of leadership, experience, and talent. However, Mumbai Indians have made a few changes to their squad by releasing some players. The team has let go of Priyanka Bala, Humairaa Kaazi, and Isabelle Wong. Notably, Fatima Jaffer was also released despite being part of the squad last season.

With the WPL 2025 mini-auction approaching, Mumbai Indians have INR 2.65 crore remaining in their purse. This gives them the opportunity to strengthen their squad with fresh talent for the upcoming season.

Retained Players: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Pooja Vastrakar, Yastika Bhatia, Amanjot Kaur, Saika Ishaque, Jintimani Kalita, S Sajana, Fatima Jaffer, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr, Chloe Tryon, Shabnim Ismail, Keerthana Balakrishna.
