While the top-order batters played quick knocks, captain Will Sutherland and Tim Seifert anchored the innings to take the team to a competitive total of 169/7 in 20 overs.

The Renegades began their innings with a bang. Jake Fraser-McGurk set the tone with a quick 21 off 12 balls, hitting two boundaries and a massive six.
