In the 7th match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024-25 at Shere Bangla Stadium, Usman Khan delivered a sensational knock of 123 runs off just 62 balls. His innings is now the joint second-highest T20 score by a Pakistani batter, alongside Kamran Akmal’s 150*.

With this century, Usman also achieved his fifth T20 hundred in just 56 matches, the joint second-most by a Pakistan batter after Babar Azam’s 11 centuries.

Chittagong Kings faced Durbar Rajshahi, and Usman’s explosive batting helped his team post the biggest total of this season so far—219 for 5 in 20 overs.

Usman Khan’s Explosive Innings

After losing opener Parvez Hossain Emon for a duck in the first over, Usman Khan took charge and completely dominated the Rajshahi bowlers. He smashed 13 fours and 6 sixes during his knock, maintaining a strike rate of 198.39. His partnership of 120 runs with Graham Clark (40 off 25 balls) laid the foundation for a massive total.

Though wickets fell in the latter half of the innings, Usman continued his attack. He eventually got out in the 19th over, scoring 123 and helping Chittagong cross the 200-run mark. Haider Ali (19 off 8) and Wasim (4 off 5) provided the finishing touches.

Biggest Total of the Season

The Kings’ total of 219 for 5 is the highest score of this BPL season so far. Rajshahi bowlers had a tough time, with Hasan Murad conceding 45 runs in his four overs, and Shafiul Islam giving away 46 runs. Taskin Ahmed was the only standout bowler, picking two wickets for just 22 runs in his four overs.
