Shan Masood’s First Test Century Against South Africa

At 35 years old, Shan Masood achieved his sixth Test century, and it was also his first-ever century against South Africa. He completed his century in Cape Town in 159 balls, hitting 14 boundaries along the way. Shan finished his milestone with a boundary, marking the highest score of his Test career against South Africa. As of the latest update, he was still batting on his century.

Excellent Partnership with Babar Azam

In the second innings, Shan Masood formed a solid opening partnership of 205 runs with Babar Azam. Babar, who hit 10 fours in his 81-run knock, missed out on a century. He was dismissed after a catch off Marco Jansen’s bowling. Babar had earlier scored 58 runs in the first innings.

By the time of writing, Pakistan had scored 206/1 in their second innings, still trailing South Africa by 215 runs. South Africa had earlier enforced the follow-on on Pakistan after dismissing them cheaply in the first innings.
