The IPL 2025 season is set to begin on March 21, 2025. This announcement was made by Rajeev Shukla, the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The IPL will run until May 25, 2025, with the final scheduled on this date at Eden Gardens. Earlier, Shukla had mentioned March 23 as the start date, but he later corrected it.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 will also take place from April 8 to May 19, 2025. This means that both the IPL and PSL will overlap by a few weeks, which could be a clash for fans and players.
While some big names like David Warner and Kane Williamson went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, they have registered for the PSL 2025 draft.
Along with them, players like Usman Khwaja and Jason Roy have also signed up for the PSL. It will be interesting to see how this overlap affects the availability of some players for both leagues.
