MI Emirates Set a Challenging Target
After being sent in to bat, MI Emirates put up 187/7 in their 20 overs. Captain Nicholas Pooran played a blazing knock of 59 runs from just 29 balls, smashing six sixes during his innings. Tom Banton anchored the innings with a well-paced 74 off 52 balls, hitting nine boundaries and two sixes. Kieron Pollard chipped in with 22 runs but couldn’t finish strongly.
Dubai Capitals’ bowlers had a mixed outing. Gulbadin Naib was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets for just 18 runs in his three overs. Olly Stone, despite being hit for three consecutive sixes by Pooran, managed to dismiss him and finished with figures of 2/31.
