As reported by Rising Kashmir, speaking at a gathering in Budgam, Kashmir Cleric Aga Syed Hassan Aga Syed Hassan highlighted the dangers posed by online gambling platforms, including Teen Patti, which have led to financial instability and emotional distress among families. He emphasized that this issue requires collective intervention to safeguard the well-being of the region’s youth.

Online gambling is a silent crisis that threatens to erode the foundations of our society. Families are suffering, and young lives are being derailed,” he stated, urging parents to take an active role in monitoring their children’s digital habits.

The cleric proposed a multi-pronged approach to tackle the problem. He called on teachers to instill values of responsibility and diligence in students, while religious leaders guide the youth toward moral and spiritual development. He also stressed the need for awareness campaigns to educate the public about the dangers of online gambling and its far-reaching consequences.

Aga Syed Hassan further urged the government to impose stricter regulations on online gambling platforms and implement technological measures to limit access. He emphasized the importance of encouraging an environment where young people are encouraged to engage in meaningful activities that promote personal growth and family connections.

“Protecting our youth requires a united effort. Parents, educators, and community leaders must come together to steer the younger generation toward constructive and fulfilling pursuits,” he added.

As the region grapples with the growing menace of online gambling, Aga Syed Hassan’s appeal serves as a reminder of the shared responsibility to safeguard the future of the community.
