Despite a sensational knock by Jacob Bethell, it was Tim David’s calm and composed finish that steered the Hurricanes to victory. With 7 needed off 4 balls, David smacked a six to seal the win.

Batting first, Melbourne Renegades posted a competitive total of 154/7 in their 20 overs, largely due to an outstanding innings by Bethell. The 20-year-old smashed 87 runs off 50 balls, including 8 boundaries and 4 sixes. He was eventually run out in the final over.

Riley Meredith was the pick of the Hurricanes’ bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 36 runs. Nathan Ellis, Mitchell Owen, and Tim David also contributed to the effort with tight bowling, limiting the Renegades to a score that seemed manageable.

The big-hitting all-rounder struck a massive six, sealing the win for the Hurricanes and keeping their momentum rolling. The final score was 155/6 in 19.4 overs, with Nathan Ellis remaining not out on 5.
