The Sixers’ chase got off to a rocky start with early wickets, but Steve Smith anchored the innings with a composed 52 runs from 31 balls. Fresh off his stunning 121* in his BBL comeback match against the Perth Scorchers, Smith’s steadying presence was crucial.
However, his dismissal in the 10th over put the Sixers under pressure, needing 36 runs from the final 24 balls. Ben Dwarshuis and Hayden Kerr held their nerve to seal the win, with the Sixers finishing at 183/7 in 19.5 overs.
Adelaide Strikers’ Struggles with the Bat
