The much-awaited announcement of India’s Champions Trophy 2025 squad will happen on January 18 in Mumbai. Chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar will reveal the team during a press conference. So far, India and Pakistan are the only teams yet to announce their squads for the marquee event. Both nations are expected to finalize their squads soon, with India’s decision expected after a crucial meeting on January 18.

BCCI to Finalize Champions Trophy Squad

Earlier, reports suggested that India’s Champions Trophy squad might be announced by January 12. However, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla later confirmed that the selectors would take a final decision on January 18.

Recently, BCCI announced India’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against England, scheduled to start on January 22. India will also play three ODIs against England, but details about the squad for the ODI series are still awaited. It is expected that the press conference will include announcements for both the Champions Trophy squad and the ODI series squad.

India’s Champions Trophy Fixtures

India will begin their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh on February 19 in Dubai. This will be followed by a much-anticipated match against Pakistan on February 23. India’s last group stage match will be against New Zealand on March 2.
