Durbar Rajshahi’s decision to bat first after winning the toss proved to be the right one, as they posted a challenging total of 184/7 in their 20 overs.
Mohammad Haris and Jishan Alam got off to a steady start, but both fell in the first few overs, leaving the team at 53/2 after 7.1 overs. The captain Anamul’s 32 runs and a fiery 41-run knock by Ryan Burl added some much-needed momentum. Yasir Ali contributed a quick-fire 19 from just 10 balls, and Mark Deyal, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, and Akbar Ali finished the innings with a few runs here and there to push the total to 184.
Nahidul Islam and Ruyel Miah were the pick of the bowlers for Sylhet Strikers, claiming two wickets each.

The first breakthrough came as early as the first over when Rony Talukdar and Paul Stirling were dismissed cheaply. Zakir Hasan and George Munsey tried to steady the ship, but both were dismissed within quick succession, leaving Sylhet Strikers at 75/4 by the 10th over.
Aaron Jones and Jaker Ali put up some resistance, but wickets continued to fall as Taskin Ahmed, Sunzamul Islam, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, and Aftab Alam shared the spoils. The Strikers’ batting line-up faltered under the pressure, eventually getting bowled out for just 119 in 17.3 overs.
