The highly anticipated National Poker Series India (NPSI) is back with an expanded edition, promising record-breaking stakes and unmatched excitement in the world of Indian Poker. Announcing the National Poker Champion Showdown (NPC), a first-of-its-kind, high-stakes competition for national supremacy, the series is set to raise the bar for competitive Poker. The NPC Showdown offers a winner-takes-all prize of INR 1 Crore, along with the prestige of crowning India’s Poker champion.

Statewide Rewards and Opportunities

The NPC Showdown will bring the best of the best to Goa, featuring the top 12 players from across India, each representing their state. These elite players will be selected based on their performance in the India Leaderboard, determined by points accumulated during the NPSI tournaments. Alongside the title and INR 1 Crore prize, the winner will secure free entry for all players from their state who have participated in at least one NPSI event to compete in another INR 1 Crore tournament. To add further excitement, the top medalist from each state or union territory will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 2,00,000.

The 5th edition of National Poker Series India, set to take place on PokerBaazi from February 23 to March 24, 2025, will feature an unprecedented prize pool of INR 100 Crore, making it the richest Poker series in India’s history. Building on the  success of previous years, the tournament promises to deliver a spectacular platform for both seasoned professionals and aspiring players.

‘Never Play Second’ Campaign: A Celebration of Excellence

To set the stage for this edition, NPSI unveiled its bold new campaign, ‘Never Play Second’, featuring prominent Poker professionals in a series of high-impact films. The campaign celebrates the ultimate pursuit of excellence, with gold medals positioned as the pinnacle of achievement. With the mantra, “Every hand you play, every move you make, it’s a race to the top, a relentless chase,” the campaign inspires players to push boundaries and solidify their dominance in the sport.

NPSI’s Growing Legacy and Record-Breaking Achievements

NPSI has become a cornerstone of India’s Poker ecosystem, drawing over 5.3 lakh entries, hosting more than 400 tournaments, and awarding 1,200+ medals. The 2024 edition broke records with 2.25 lakh entries competing for a prize pool exceeding INR 62.5 Crore, highlighting fierce rivalries. Delhi’s Deepak Singh claimed the championship title, while Maharashtra and Delhi emerged as top contenders in the medal tally.
