Haider Ali produced a breathtaking finish as he smashed four consecutive sixes to power Chittagong Kings to a six-wicket win over Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024-25.

With 20 runs needed from 18 balls, the match was still open, but Haider Ali made sure there was no drama. He wasted no time and took matters into his own hands, finishing the game in just four balls.

As Akif Javed came in to bowl, Haider Ali immediately went on the attack. The first ball was full and outside off, and Ali cleared his front leg before launching it over wide long-off for a huge six.

The pressure was now on the bowler. On the very next ball, Akif went short on middle and leg, but Ali backed away and pulled it effortlessly over deep square leg for another maximum. Two balls, two sixes, and suddenly, the game was almost over.

Akif Javed tried to adjust, but Haider Ali was in unstoppable form. The third delivery was again short on middle and leg, and Ali got inside the line and pulled it over deep backward square leg for his third consecutive six.

The Chittagong Kings dugout was already celebrating, knowing the match was all but done. With just two runs needed, Ali decided to finish in style. The fourth ball was fuller outside off, but he cleared his front leg and smashed it over deep mid-wicket to complete an incredible chase. As the ball sailed into the stands, Ali punched the air in delight while his teammates rushed onto the field to celebrate.

Chittagong Kings won the match by six wickets, and Haider Ali’s unbeaten 48 off just 18 balls made him the undisputed hero of the night. His incredible hitting, reminiscent of Yuvraj Singh’s famous six-hitting spree, left the crowd in awe. For his match-winning knock, he was awarded the Man of the Match.
