Jasprit Bumrah is likely to miss the upcoming ODI series against England, with his name missing from the squad list shared by the BCCI on February 4. This has fueled speculation about his exclusion, with many believing the decision is a precautionary move ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.

Bumrah has been out of action since the last Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to a back injury. Despite his selection in India’s Champions Trophy squad, the team management may have decided to rest him for the England ODIs to ensure he remains fully fit for the marquee tournament in Pakistan.

Considering his past injury concerns, BCCI might not want to take any risks. Managing his workload has always been a priority, and keeping him fresh for the Champions Trophy seems to be the logical step.

India’s Updated ODI Squad vs England
