Tim David has had a whirlwind week in franchise cricket, traveling across three countries and playing for three different teams. The big-hitting all-rounder covered an astonishing 15,816 km within seven days, featuring in matches in Australia, the UAE, and then finally in Bangladesh. However, his performances with the bat didn’t match his hectic schedule, as he managed just 26 runs from 28 balls.
Take a look at the X post below to get the context:
A Busy Week for Tim David
David’s intense travel schedule started in Australia, where he played for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL) on January 27. He then moved to Dubai on January 29 to represent Gulf Giants in the ILT20. After playing two games there, he traveled to Abu Dhabi for another match on February 1 before heading to Dhaka on February 3 for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), where he played for Rangpur Riders in the eliminator.
From BBL Glory to Quick Exits in ILT20 & BPL
While David had a forgettable week with the bat, it is worth noting that he was a key player for the Hobart Hurricanes in their historic BBL title-winning campaign. He scored 254 runs in nine matches at a strike rate of 177 and an average of 42, playing crucial knocks throughout the tournament.
His journey to the ILT20, however, did not go as planned. He played two games for the Gulf Giants, scoring just 19 runs before moving to the BPL. In the eliminator match for Rangpur Riders, David could only manage seven runs off nine balls as his team was knocked out of the tournament.
All Eyes on IPL 2025 with RCB
Despite a tough week, Tim David remains a dangerous power-hitter, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be banking on him in IPL 2025. Acquired in the mega auction, he is set to don the RCB jersey once again, and fans will be eager to see him bring his explosive batting to the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
