Revenant XSpark has claimed victory in the Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament 2025 – India after defeating S8UL Esports in the grand final. Organized by Skyesports, the tournament offered an open-for-all platform for Indian teams to compete. The championship event is set to take place in Japan on March 29 and 30.
Tournament Recap
The Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament 2025 – India featured a rigorous format, including an open qualifier, group stage, and playoffs. Revenant XSpark dominated the competition from the start, winning all three of their group-stage matches and advancing to the playoffs as a top-seeded team.
In the upper bracket playoffs, Revenant XSpark continued their strong form, securing victories over Elites and Global Esports. They then faced S8UL Esports in the upper bracket final, where they edged out a 2-1 win. S8UL fought their way back through the lower bracket to earn a rematch in the grand final. However, Revenant XSpark maintained their momentum and once again secured a 2-1 victory, claiming the championship title. The team also earned $3,000 from the event’s total $10,000 prize pool.
A Comeback After ACL India League Loss
Revenant XSpark’s win comes shortly after their second-place finish in the Pokémon UNITE ACL India League Finals in January 2025. During that event, they delivered a strong performance in the group stage and secured a direct entry into the grand final. However, their championship hopes were dashed when GodLike Esports pulled off a remarkable lower bracket run, winning seven consecutive series to take the title.
The Winter Tournament presented Revenant XSpark with an opportunity to regain momentum ahead of the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025 Finals, and they capitalized on it. With their latest victory, the team now heads to Japan alongside GodLike Esports, where they will compete against 16 of the best teams from across the region for the championship title.
What’s Next?
The Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025 Finals will bring together top teams from various regions, offering both Revenant XSpark and GodLike Esports an opportunity to showcase their skills on an international stage. With the tournament scheduled for March 29 and 30, both teams will be preparing to face high-level competition as they aim to secure a strong finish for India in the global Pokémon UNITE esports scene.
