Pakistan secured a thrilling six-wicket victory over South Africa at the National Stadium, Karachi, on February 12, booking their place in the final of the ongoing ODI tri-series. Chasing a stiff target of 353, Pakistan reached 355 for 4 in 49 overs, thanks to a sensational unbeaten century from Mohammad Rizwan and a blazing knock from Salman Agha.

South Africa Post 352 on the Board

Batting first, South Africa put up a strong total of 352 for 5 in 50 overs. Temba Bavuma led from the front with 82 off 96 balls, while Matthew Breetzke (83 off 84) and Heinrich Klaasen (87 off 56) provided attacking contributions. Kyle Verreynne added a late flourish with an unbeaten 44 off 32 balls. Pakistan’s bowlers had a tough time, with Shaheen Afridi (2 for 66) and Naseem Shah (1 for 68) being the only ones among wickets.

Rizwan and Salman Agha Shine in Chase

Pakistan lost wickets early, with Babar Azam (23 off 19) and Fakhar Zaman (41 off 28) failing to convert their starts. However, Mohammad Rizwan anchored the chase brilliantly, scoring an unbeaten 122 off 128 balls. He found a perfect partner in Salman Agha, who played a match-winning knock of 134 off just 103 balls. Their 260-run partnership ensured Pakistan chased the target comfortably with an over to spare.
