Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s IPL Record: How Has He Performed So Far?

Mumbai Indians have faced a major blow before IPL 2025. Their young Afghan spinner, Allah Ghazanfar, has been ruled out due to an injury. To fill his place, the team has signed another Afghan spinner, Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Mumbai Indians secured him for Rs 2 crore ahead of the upcoming season.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s IPL Journey

Mujeeb started his IPL career with Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2018. He had a great season, taking 14 wickets in 11 matches with an economy rate of under 7. However, his appearances in the following seasons were limited. In 2019 and 2020 combined, he played only 7 matches and took 3 wickets.

In 2021, Mujeeb joined Sunrisers Hyderabad but played just one match. He took 2 wickets for 29 runs in that game. So far, he has played 19 IPL matches and taken 19 wickets, with an average of 31.16 and an economy rate of 8.18.

Mumbai Indians fans will be eager to see how he performs in IPL 2025. His recent form in SA20 was impressive, and he will now aim to make an impact for his new team at the Wankhede Stadium.
