Shivam Dube is a player who always performs, whether for Team India or Mumbai in domestic cricket. The all-rounder once again proved his worth in the Ranji Trophy semi-final. Playing against Vidarbha, Dube delivered a brilliant bowling performance, picking up five wickets in the first innings. This was the third time in his first-class career that he has taken five or more wickets in an innings.

Shivam Dube’s Five-Wicket Haul in Semi-Final

In the second Ranji Trophy semi-final, Vidarbha batted first and posted a strong total of 383 runs. Their batters played well against most Mumbai bowlers, but Shivam Dube troubled them the most. He dismissed five Vidarbha batters, including star player Karun Nair.

Dube bowled 11.5 overs and gave away 49 runs while taking five wickets. This five-wicket haul is special for him as it is only the third time in his first-class career that he has achieved this feat.

The semi-final against Vidarbha is the 25th first-class match of Shivam Dube’s career. Before this game, he had taken 53 wickets in 24 matches at an average of 22.52. With his five-wicket haul in this match, his total first-class wickets have now reached 58.

Mumbai Now Looks at Dube’s Batting

Shivam Dube’s job is not over yet. Mumbai has to bat now, and they will expect a strong performance from their all-rounder. After troubling Vidarbha with the ball, he will now look to contribute with the bat and help Mumbai take control of the match.
